Access, reception and consultation

The Library spaces and collections are accessible to students, university staff and external users.

Access

All parts of the Library are open to all, by following a few basic rules:

  • use only the designated places;
  • smoking is prohibited and users are not allowed to speak loudly or bring food or drinks into the Library (except water);
  • no inappropriate use of spaces or behaviour are allowed (e.g., loud conversations, sitting on floors/tables, disturbing other users).

External users who need to consult the University's reserved resources for study or research purposes only may use temporary accounts by presenting a valid identity document.

Access to the Central Section is granted via university badge for members of the university, or by following the instructions posted at the entrance for all other users.

Reception

In each section you can find an information desk where users can receive initial guidance. At Cesenatico the information desk is located at the Faculty reception.

Consultation

Collections are partly displayed on the open shelves and partly held in storage. The stored items can be requested at the information desk.

Document distribution (for consultation/loan) and access to catalogues/PC workstations ends 10 minutes before closing time.
