The Library also participates in the University's inter-library cooperation programme for the special needs of university users with disabilities, working together with the University's Services for Students with disabilities and SLDs.
Certified university users with disabilities benefit from extended loan periods.
All sections have accessible, barrier-free toilets.
The Central Section is equipped with three workstations with assistive technologies, as follows:
- one height-adjustable table with PC (reference-only access to books and journals). Free workstation located at the entrance on the ground floor;
- 2 height-adjustable tables for on-site reference use;
- 1 height-adjustable tables with PC and scanner, equipped with OCR software and speech synthesis tools (accessible only to university users with @studio.unibo.it or @unibo.it credentials).
